DAY ONE – Monday 17th July – Land’s End to Penzance – 14.18 Miles – 5H:18M
My pilgrimage journey begins at Land’s End. I will be walking across country to St Buryan church and then picking up the coast path near Lamora and following it around to Penzance. Overnight courtesy of Penzance Baptist Church.
DAY TWO – Tuesday 18th July – Penzance to Portlevan – 13.81 Miles – 5H:27M
From Penzance I will be following the coastal path through Marazion and across to St Michael’s Mount before carrying on along the coast to Portlevan. Overnight courtesy of Porthleven Methodist Church.
DAY THREE – Wednesday 19th July – Portlevan to Falmouth – 14.50 Miles – 5H:33M
Turning inland from Portlevan, my route takes me past Helston and Constantine before looping between Argal and College reservoirs and then east into Falmouth. Overnight courtesy of Falmouth Baptist Church.
DAY FOUR – Thursday 20th July – Falmouth to Truro – 11.67 Miles – 4H:23M
Leaving Falmouth I will be heading north through Penryn, Perranarworthal, Devoran and Carnon Downs on route to Truro. Overnight courtesy of Truro Baptist Church.
DAY FIVE – Friday 21st July – Truro to St Austell – 11.96 Miles – 4H:19M
North east out of Truro via Tresillian, Probus, Grampound, Hewas Water, Trelowth, and in to St Austell. Overnight courtesy of St Austell Baptist Church.
DAY SIX – Saturday 22nd July – St Austell to St Blazey – 6.02 Miles – 2H:13M
Just a short walk on Saturday which means I get to spend a little time exploring St Austell before setting off to Charlestown to pick up the South West Coast Path and up toSt Blazey. Overnight courtesy TBC.
DAY SEVEN – Sunday 23nd July – St Blazey to Lostwithiel – 12.59 Miles – 5H:06M
A little over 5 hours and 12 1/2 miles to cover and I hope to be able to join worship at 9:30am in St Blaise Parish Church before heading off on a loop along The Saint’s Way through Tywardreath, Polkerris, Fowey, Golant and Milltown to arrive in Lostwithiel to complete my first week.
